20.11.07 Yesterday A Clear Horizon
You know, I think I know why I'm putting off writing the application essay. I'm not in the mood to do some soul-searching. Not ready to delve into that part of my memories yet.
After all this time, not yet?
It's funny how you can have all these visions of what life is going to be like, and it comes, and it's gone, and you're left exclaiming, in the fashion of an irritated Korean drama character, "YAAA!! That's not the way I planned it!"
But what are we to do? Trudge on, trudge on, try to cling to that spirit of a dreamer and trudge on, trudge on, in faith.
I parted with my paddle today though. It's something of an achievement.
The brat in me had wanted to keep it with me for all eternity. It's a part of my life that I don't want to forget. But a moment of rationality took over and I decided, it's fairer to my parents this way..the money I get, I ought to give it back to them. So I acted upon it immediately. Cause I knew I'd regret and turn back on my decision.
It's hard. I miss the sight of it leaning against the cupboard.. A comforting black shadow that replaced the one that loomed in my mind. (So guess what's back? Back again?)
But it's past. And this is for the best, right?

What's not to like about a guy who's multilingual (Korean, Jap, English, Chinese), multi-talented (Sings, beatboxes, acts, dances --check out the handstand at 1.56 and the cool stunts at 4.07, 4.30 in the video below), polite and hardworking!! Fumes.
..and he doesn't lip-sync either!
OH WELLL, to each her own. Shrugs.
Anyway, 1 more paper :) It's in like a week+++ but I've got many many many essays/short writing samples to do for apps! BUSY BUSY BUSY
..A couple of weeks without touching Chinese and I can already feel the Chinese side of the brain shriveling up. OH NO! I don't want to lose it! Must learn Korean in Chinese, otherwise I might become another..nvm. :D

It's was quite alright lah, in fact all my papers have been pretty fine. But a bit scared about Chinese Lit.. I don't know how it'll turn out :/ GP is a smilie 'cause I prepared for the essay and the compre was quite straight forward. Tho I don't know what I was agreeing with for the AQ so just rattled my own stuff. AIYAH WHATEVER LAH, it's all in God's hands!! :))) So good to know that 'cause I can just keep going forward instead of fretting :)

H College just made contact again. This time it's an email from representatives of the Asian American organisations on campus. Got me grinning from the first line, cos apparently I have made "considerable academic achievements". UMMM really? Better check your sources.. Haha. Well I don't know man. Am I excited? Sure. 2 letters of encouragment so far! That's gotta be a morale booster any way you look at it. BUT let's add a dash of reality, shall we? 1) It's most probably computer generated, some auto-response made in cyberspace. 2) I will be competing with the creme de la creme, and je suis just'un pincement de sel. (Tho salt used to be pretty expensive dinosaur ages ago)
Yeah so not getting my hopes up at all. Tho my mum has taken to looking at me proudly. >______< Can I burst her bubble? Is there any way to do it gently???
